課程概述 |
Graduate students of this program will be prepared to develop advanced community health nursing competencies for individual behavior change theory and family-based care. This program will also prepare advanced community health nurses to practice in urban underserved areas, apply advanced assessment skills and integrate advanced competencies throughout the course. The advanced community health nurses work in collaboration with communities, community organizations and health care facilities to develop the capacity needed to oversee the care coordination and management of the health of individuals, populations and aggregates. An emphasis on application of theory and research findings based practices is encouraged. |

課程目標 |
This course will enable the graduates to:
1. determine the goals and objectives of community health nursing as they relate to meeting the health needs of clients (individuals, families);
2. identify the association between family structure and their unmet health needs;
3. examine the influence of the cultural values, economic impacts and occupational climate on the health of the client;
4. establish feasible health care plans to meet the family’s needs, while the available health care services and family's desires/preferences must be taken into consideration;
5. analyze the client’s own behavior, perceptions and needs, to understand how they affect the development of the nursing care plan and its implementation.
